Overview on Thule Roof Top Racks
Carry just about anything! Basically, roof top sports racks attach to your vehicle's roof or factory-installed rack. If your car lacks gutters, it clamps in the seam between the door and vehicle's frame. Next, add a gear specific carrier to the rack to suit your needs. Systems are composed of 3 main components... the Foot/Towers, Bars/Crossbars and Carriers/Mounts.

	A Thule Foot makes the connection between your vehicle and the rack. There are several types of feet which depends on your vehicle's roofline.
	The Thule Bars for your rack is easy to select. There are basically four sizes and one is ideal for the width of your vehicle.
	Thule Carriers Mounts are the components which attaches to the Thule or Yakima Bars/Crossbars or a factory roof rack. They hold the objects you wish to carry: kayaks, windsurfers, bicycles, skis, cargo boxes, etc...

Overview on Thule - Hitch, Spare Tire and Rear Racks
These types of racks are primarily designed for carrying bikes. Hitch Racks attach in 11/4-inch or 2-inch configurations to your car or truck's receiver standard hitch. Hitches either come with the vehicle or can be purchased and installed separately. Spare-Tire Racks can be attached to the spare tire on the rear of the vehicle. For both of these types of racks, attachment options are available so you can also carry skis or snowboards. If you need to carry a kayak or canoe a rooftop rack is your only choice. Rear Mount Racks hook up and strap on a vehicle's rear hatchback or trunk. These bike racks are a economical design for quick installation and convenience.
